Warranty Information

Dadant & Sons, Inc. warrants its products to be free of defects in material and workmanship. If within 30 days of purchase you feel an item to be defective, please return the merchandise along with your sales slip at once, and we will refund the purchase price along with all transportation charges. This warranty does not cover any damage to products arising from alteration, abuse, or use of product for other than its intended purpose. We reject all implied and expressed warranties.

You may pay by the following credit cards, Discover, VISA, MasterCard, or by Check, Wire Transfer, or Bank Letter of Credit.

Foreign Orders

We regret that we are unable to accept foreign orders at this time.

Shipping Methods:

  • UPS (primary shipping method), Parcel Post (if requested), or Truck Freight.
  • Special priority shipping options available at higher costs
  • Shipping and Handling Charges are figured for UPS on the web site. Each item weight is added up for the total weight, all fractions of a pound are considered a full pound.
  • We divide the total weight by 35 pounds to determine the number of packages to be shipped.
  • We use the UPS charts to determine shipping charges.

Please be sure to provide the correct address with your order. UPS charges for incorrect addresses and routing changes will be forwarded to your bill. UPS charges an additional amount for delivery to rural areas and those charges may also be forwarded to your bill. Note: These shipping charges may not be sufficient for lightweight bulky merchandise or weights over 40 pounds which will be shipped in multiple packages. We reserve the right to bill you for additional shipping charges.

Dimensional weight may be used rather than actual weight. Dimensional weight is a formula used by package delivery companies to determine a billing weight based on density for air shipments or large bulky items. Some items may show the billing weight rather than the actual weight. Parcel Post must be requested separately; otherwise all shipments are by United Parcel Service, unless your order is too large for UPS, in which case we will ship by Truck Freight.

Catalog Errors

We are not responsible for typographical or photographic errors that may appear in any Dadant material. We reserve the right to make adjustments or corrections due to changing market conditions, product discontinuations or typographical or photographic errors in products.

Back-Orders

Items back-ordered always receive first priority handling. Freight charges for a back-ordered item are your responsibility. You will be charged freight for any back-ordered item just as if it was shipped with your original order.

Freight Charges

You pay all freight charges.

Damaged Freight

All merchandise is shipped F.O.B. Shipping Point. This legal term simply means that all merchandise becomes your property as soon as we give it to the freight carrier. The freight carrier is responsible for the complete and safe delivery of your merchandise. It is your responsibility to thoroughly inspect the merchandise when it is delivered. If the freight carrier fails to deliver your merchandise in good condition, it is your responsibility to file a damage or loss claim with the freight carrier. If you need help when filing a claim, please call us (1-800-443-8738).

Order Discrepancies

Check all orders immediately upon receipt and contact us within 10 days on any discrepancies or we cannot be responsible for errors.

Special Orders

A 50% deposit must accompany all special orders. Some special orders may be subject to a cancellation charge. Balance due on shipment of order.

Over Payments

Over payments will be refunded.

Holiday Closings

In addition to recognized national holidays, we are closed on Good Friday and the day after Thanksgiving.

Closing for Inventory

We will be closed the last two working days in August for our annual inventory.

State Sales Tax

We are required to collect sales tax where applicable by law. Sales Tax exemptions will be allowed only if you have a signed Certificate. State Law requires that we have certificates on file before any tax exemption can be allowed.

Prices

Due to rapid changes in our economy today, all orders will be invoiced on the basis of prices which are in effect at the time of shipment. Please feel free to confirm prices at any time.

Returned Merchandise

If you want to return an item, please call for authorization, otherwise your return may not be accepted and sent back to you.

Conditions for Returns:

  • item must be in original carton and in good condition,
  • returned within 30 days of receipt,
  • returned to location of original purchase,
  • Original receipt required.

Limitations:

  • In most cases a 10% restocking fee will be charged.

Exception: If we goofed, we will give full refund and pay the freight both ways.

Liability

Because conditions of use are beyond our control, we make no warranty or representation, express or implied, except that all products conform to the description provided by the manufacturer on sales literature or product labels. Our liability is limited to the purchase price paid.

Product of Suitability

Many states and localities have codes and regulations governing sales, construction, installation, and or use of products for certain purposes. While we attempt to assure that our products comply with such codes, we cannot guarantee compliance in every situation. We cannot be responsible for how the product is installed or used. Before you purchase and use a product, please review both the product application and local codes and regulations. Be sure that the product, its installation, and its use will comply with them.

Privacy Notice

We do not sell our mailing lists to anyone. All information is kept private and strictly confidential. It is used for internal purposes only. We will make special offerings and mailings periodically. You can exempt yourself from our mail list by notifying us by email, phone or letter.

Orders of $300.00 to $599.00, 1/2 (half) of freight is charged, with a total allowance not to exceed 5% of net invoice. Orders of $600.00 or more will receive full freight allowance that does not exceed 10% of net invoice.All shipments are F.O.B. Kahoka, Mo unless other arrangements are made in advance.

Wholesale Policies

New customer order: Must meet order requirement of $150.00 net. Also, all new customers must submit application for credit. It generally takes four to five weeks to check references and establish account. If you would like your opening order expedited, we accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and prepaid orders.

Wholesale Established customer re-order: Minimum net order of $100.00

Wholesale Freight Allowance: Orders of $300.00 to $599.99, 1/2 (half) of freight is charged, with a total freight allowance not to exceed 5% of net invoice. Orders of $600.00 or more will receive full freight allowance that does not exceed 10% of net invoice. F.o.b. Kahoka, MO.

Wholesale Returns: All returns must have prior authorization and be issued a return authorization number. You must notify the Dadant customer service dept. at 1-800-443-8738 within 15 days of receipt of merchandise. All items must be unused and in original condition. Return freight is the responsibility of the customer.

Wholesale Standard Terms: Terms are net 30 days from the date of invoice.

Wholesale Restocking Charge: Up to 20% of net invoice and prepaid freight back.

Wholesale Prices: Subject to change.

Wholesale Private Label Program: Black or gold foil imprint of your logo or design on our packaging. Send camera ready artwork and we will create a custom stamp. 2 sizes avail.  One time set up fee.
